Sumario:Hushang Golshiri has been considered one of the most important Iranian authors of the 20th century. His simultaneous use of modernist techniques and socially controversial plots characterize an oeuvre that wholeheartedly rejects realism without ever straying too far from reality. This is the first ever translation into Spanish of his essay “I Have Not Lived, I Want to Be Someone Else”, in which he discusses his interpretation of the Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges.
