El presente texto explora la vida y la obra del aclamado escritor chino Liu Zhenyun. Asimismo, se analizan las características centrales de su obra, como sus corrientes literarias y su enfoque en personajes comunes que luchan contra la pobreza y el poder, así como su crítica de la realidad rural y urbana.
