Para ello, se centra en temas como la continuidad y la ruptura entre regímenes precoloniales y coloniales, la aplicación de categorías occidentales a mundos no occidentales, y la problemática recepción de trabajos académicos en este campo. Este texto invita a una reconsideración crítica de los conceptos de lo universal y lo particular en el entendimiento de las sociedades.
