Using semantic-aspectual analysis tools (Rappaport-Hovav & Levin 1998; Mendikoetxea 2000), the structures and/or mechanisms were evaluated to identify the factors that motivated the alternation between the prepositional phrase and the morphological construction of the past participle. The source of examples was mixed: a) Cases from the scientific literature and original examples. It was found that the factors involved in the alternation are related to the Aktionsart of the predicates in which they are embedded (De Miguel 1999; Escandell 2004, 2007; Morimoto 2017) and are linked to the event structure [COME TO BE [x<STATE>]], which focuses on the culmination subevent, explaining its alternation with morphological past participle constructions, also associated with a perfective character. Similarly, the viewpoint aspect (Smith 1997) will also affect the semantic alternation. The scientific novelty and relevance of this research lie in its focus on studying the prepositional group in relation to other categories (Masullo 2008; Gallego 2010; Brucart & Gallego 2016), thereby contributing to a grammatical study that establishes relationships not only at the intracategorial level but also at the intercategorial level. |

En este estudio se exploran las condiciones semánticas y aspectuales que permiten la alternancia entre el grupo preposicional con la estructura “bajo+ SN” y la construcción morfológica de participio pasado, como en: La familia estuvo bajo la amenaza de la banda más temida de esos tiempos / La familia estuvo amenazada por la banda más temida de esos tiempos. Con las herramientas de análisis semántico-aspectual (Rappaport-Hovav & Levin 1998; Mendikoetxea 2000), se evaluaron las estructuras y/o mecanismos de conformación para encontrar los factores que motivaban la alternancia entre el grupo preposicional y la realización morfológica de participio pasado. La fuente de extracción de ejemplos fue mixta: casos provenientes de la literatura científica y ejemplos originales. Se constata que los factores que intervienen en la alternancia tienen relación con el aspecto léxico de los pre-dicados en los que se insertan (De Miguel 1999; Escandell 2004, 2007; Morimoto 2017) y que se vinculan con la estructura eventiva [PASAR A ESTAR [x<ESTADO>]], que focaliza el subevento culminativo, lo que explica su al-ternancia con construcciones morfológicas de participio pasado, asociadas también con un carácter perfectivo. Asimismo, el aspecto de punto de vista focalizador (Smith 1997) también va a incidir en la alternancia semántica. La novedad y actualidad científica de esta investigación radica en el hecho de estudiar al grupo preposicional en relación con otras categorías (Masullo 2008; Gallego 2010; Brucart & Gallego 2016) y contribuir así a un estudio gramatical que establezca relaciones no solo a nivel intracategorial, sino también intercategorial.
