| description | This paper provides a description of the morphophonological processes of the segmental level in the Mixtec of San Jerónimo de Xayacatlán. Consonantal and vowel alternations in verbs are approached from a diachronic and synchronic perspective to explain how fossilization and minimality accounts for allomorphy. Realizational morphology explains how mood-aspect and person features are manifested as phonological alterations in minimal word boundary. The refined dual-route approach determines computation and solves analytic underdetermination problems that persist in descriptions. The minimal word is proposed as a morphophonological entity and domain. The conclusions of this work are intended to establish a tradition of studies on the morphophonology regarding this dialect, as well as all the other Mix-tec languages. |

Este artículo describe la morfofonología segmental del mixteco de San Jerónimo de Xayacatlán. Las alternancias consonánticas y vocálicas en los verbos se abordan desde lo pancrónico para explicar cómo la fosilización y el ajuste a la minimidad dan cuenta de la alomorfía. La morfología realizacional explica cómo las propiedades de modo-aspecto y de persona se materializan mediante alteraciones fonológicas en los lindes de la palabra mínima. El enfoque de doble ruta para la exponencia determina el cómputo y soluciona problemas de indeterminación que persisten en los análisis. Se plantea a la palabra mínima como una entidad y un dominio morfofonológico. Las conclusiones buscan establecer una tradición de estudios sobre la morfofonología de las lenguas mixtecas.
