| description | This paper presents a partial reconstruction of the inventory of phonological segments of Proto-Deltacalifornian, i.e., the hypothetical common ancestor of the languages of the Delta-California branch of the Yuman family. It is concerned with the consonantal segments of the protolanguage, based on a revised version of the comparative method. In addition to formulating a protosystem of consonants, the comparison between three languages of this Yuman sub-group suggests the necessity to reconsider the kind and degree of relationship among their members. Este trabajo presenta una reconstrucción parcial del inventario de segmentos fonológicos del protodeltacaliforniano, es decir, la lengua hipotética que dio origen a las lenguas de la rama Delta-California de la familia lingüística yumana. Se aborda el inventario de segmentos consonánticos de la protolengua de acuerdo a una versión actualizada del método comparativo. Además de formular un protosistema de consonantes, la comparación entre las tres lenguas de este subgrupo de la familia yumana apunta a la necesidad de reconsiderar el tipo y grado de relación entre sus miembros.
