Résumé:This paper analyzes the global causes that have justified the the recent emergence of economic terms such as nearshoring and friendshoring. Thesn, it addresses the competition between some member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Mexico to fill the gap left by Chinese products in the U.S. market, focusing on three sectors: metal-mechanical, electro-electronics, and automotive.
