China se encuentra en una meseta llena de dificultades internas y externas, como lo son las deudas locales y la guerra en Ucrania. Xi Jinping y el Partido Comunista han creado un sistema centralizado en el líder, pero sin abandonar la institucionalización, y esta dualidad le permite a la élite dominante fortalecer su poder y realizar ajustes para remontar los problemas nacionales y maximizar sus ganancias en lo externo. El evento político del año fue la III Sesión Plenaria del XX Comité Central del Partido Comunista, el cual ha marcado pautas para persistir en la materialización de sus proyectos. El líder y sus instituciones tienen el control de las variables principales gracias a la legitimidad obtenida por sus logros, lo que no impide que existan descontentos sociales.
