Description
Résumé:Anwar Ibrahim became Prime Minister of Malaysia in November 2022 and since embarked on a series of political, economic, and social reforms to address some of the country’s challenges, such as slow economic growth following the Covid-19 crisis, corruption, and social integration in the face of growing ethnic diversity and the debate on human rights, specifically the sexual rights of LGBTQ+ minorities. Malaysia is also seeking to position itself regionally and internationally, especially in its relations with China and in its diplomatic role in confrontations such as the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and within organizations such as ASEAN.
