| description | This report intends to continue the Vietnam chapter from the previous yearbook. The author examines the country’s most important political and economic developments and its government’s principal international actions. This analysis is based on the premise that the adjustments made by the government in 2021–2022 and the regional context, mainly China’s “Zero Covid-19” policy, gave Vietnam a year of economic prosperity through manufacturing exports; the IMF’s outlook of 7% growth in 2022 is the highest in the entire Indo-Pacific region. The conclusions describe the results of this two-year comparison in order to determine if the government’s decisions have been assertive or if this economic boom is a by-product of the situation in China and the Russo-Ukrainian war. |

Este informe pretende dar continuidad al escrito en el anuario anterior. Para esto se rescatan los acontecimientos más importantes a nivel político, económico y las principales acciones del gobierno vietnamita en su vinculación internacional, principalmente con China y Estados Unidos. La revisión parte de la premisa de que los ajustes realizados por el gobierno en 2021 y 2022, así como el contexto regional, principalmente la política cero covid-19 de China, han permitido que Vietnam tenga un año de bonanza económica mediante la manufactura para la exportación. Resultado de esto es la proyección que lanza el Fondo Monetario Internacional de un crecimiento de 7% para 2022, siendo el más alto de todo el Indo-pacífico. En las conclusiones se presentan los resultados de esta comparativa de dos años, a modo de determinar si las decisiones gubernamentales han sido asertivas o esta bonanza es parte de un efecto contextual frente a las condiciones chinas y la guerra rusoucraniana.
