| Résumé: | This paper aims to take a step forward to shed light on the uncertain panorama that Russia’s “Special Military Operation” in Ukraine is leaving behind, which has an impact on the vast majority of countries in the world. The region covered is Asia-Pacific, with a focus on APEC economies. After specifying the methodological approach, the main implications for Russia are presented, both due to the armed conflict and the sanctions. The China-Taiwan binomial is then analyzed, before proceeding to Japan, the two states of the Korean peninsula and the main ASEAN members. Once the impacts on the Asian continent have been explored, an overview of the repercussions on the United States, an APEC member economy, is presented. At the end, a brief assessment of the events is presented by way of conclusions.
