| Summary: | This text addresses China’s bilateral relations with Ecuador and Peru within the context of Covid-19, based on available data validated for 2020, and the first half of 2021. It also considers aspects of the relationship reported up until September 2021. This approach takes as its starting point some elements on the level of “material capacities”, especially those related to the economy, before examining spaces related to the cooperative relationship during the pandemic. Subsequently, the authors review the political relationship and some possible scenarios that emerge because of the new governments in both of these Andean countries. Although the emphasis will be on the period already mentioned, a review of previous elements will be carried out to contextualize processes that go beyond the particularities of the analyzed situation.
