Este informe rescata los principales eventos ocurridos en Vietnam desde el cuarto trimestre de 2020 al tercer trimestre de 2021. El documento se encuentra dividido en tres secciones: política, relaciones internacionales y economía. De acuerdo con estos eventos, se plantea la pregunta de si este país camina o no hacia una transformación a partir de las reformas económicas de Doi Moi, luego de las elecciones dentro del XIII Congreso Nacional del Partido y dado el papel que desempeñan los actores regionales e internacionales que determinan el posicionamiento económico vietnamita y su dinámica dentro de la política internacional. De igual manera, uno de los temas importantes es la revisión de la estrategia seguida por el gobierno respecto a la crisis sanitaria de la covid-19.
