Using a quantitative design based on microdata from the Permanent Household Survey, the article shows that social policy instruments increased their importance in the reproductive balance of households whose labor force was engaged in the informal sector or precarious employment, but that given the prevailing employment conditions, they did not suffice to exclude them from the risk of inadequate reproduction.…”
