En este trabajo se investiga la cronología de la desaparición de artículo+ posesivoen documentación notarial de Vizcaya (España) y se caracterizaésta semánticamente, siguiendo algunos trabajos de ConcepciónCompany. Por un lado, se constata la pérdida de la estructura artículodefinido + posesivo para el siglo XVIII, mientras que con indefinido no sepasa del primer cuarto del siglo XVI. Por otro lado, se confirma la accesibilidaddel poseedor por medio del poseído y el vínculo de integridadsemántica entre ambos, si bien con diferencias en la actualización y modificacióndel poseído, dependiendo del poseedor. Finalmente, se corroborala conexión entre la construcción indefinido + posesivo y la gramaticalizaciónde un como artículo.
