Independently of the interest of this affair, the documents that were presented to the authorities at the time serve as a practical example of the application of a basic methodology for searching for documents, analyzing situations, identifying protagonists and applying the proper concepts and criteria to an issue. |

El texto trata de un estudiante mulato, que logró graduarse en la facultad de Medicina de la Real Universidad, en el siglo XVII, pese a la oposición manifestada por algunos de los estudiantes de su misma facultad, que objetaron la inferior calidad de su compañero. Con independencia del interés del asunto, el documento relativo al dilema presentado a las autoridades sirve como un ejemplo práctico de aplicación de la metodología básica para una búsqueda de documentos, análisis de situaciones, identificación de protagonistas y aplicación de criterios y conceptos adecuados al tema.
