| 總結: | On November 10th, 1975, the UN General Assembly approved Resolution 3379, which defined Zionism as a form of racism. As a response to Mexico’s vote in support of the resolution, U.S. Jews declared a tourist boycott of Mexico. Based on abundant documentation from institutional and governmental archives in Mexico, Israel and the United States, this article describes the tourist boycott that followed the vote, showing its popular origins and explaining its adoption by U.S. Jewish leaders. This article also studies the Mexican government’s reaction to the boycott, specifically in its relations with the Mexican and U.S. Jewish communities, and explains how the boycott ended.
