The paper highlights the personality of Alice Rühel-Gerstel, born in Prague to a Jewish family, for she would become a feminist and writer renowned in her time, but forgotten after Nazi censorship. This subject, as yet unpublished in Mexico, feeds on deep archive research carried out in Germany, the Netherlands, and Mexico. |

El siguiente artículo intitulado Desde la otra orilla, Alice Rühle-Gerstel y Otto Rühle. La experiencia del exilio político en México 1935-1943 busca hacer un análisis crítico sobre las condiciones intelectuales a la que el matrimonio Rühle se enfrentó durante su exilio político en México entre 1935-1943, al huir del nacionalsocialismo alemán. Ambos pensadores fueron personalidades reconocidas tanto en el ámbito político como académico antes y después de la primera guerra mundial, teniendo sobre todo un reconocimiento durante la denominada República de Weimar. El artículo busca resaltar, asimismo, la personalidad de Alice Rühel-Gerstel, nacida en Praga en el seno de una familia judía, quien se convertiría en una feminista y escritora reconocidad en su tiempo y la cual a partir de la censura del nacionalsocialismo fue olvidada. El tema –hasta ahora inédito en México, se nutre de una profunda investigación de archivo llevada a cabo en tanto en Alemania, Holanda y México.
