The article concludes by analyzing the text and context of the new historiographical constructions. |

El artículo analiza la lógica de la celebración centenaria, mostrando cómo se sedimentan sus hitos en la memoria colectiva. Se presenta la panorámica intelectual del Centenario en tres momentos:1) Examinando todo lo relacionado con la celebración del 19 de abril de 1810, su sentido y significación. 2) Considerando lo relativo al I Congreso de Municipalidades Venezolanas, lo que permitió hacer un balance de la situación histórica, política y social del municipio, equivalente a un inventario de los problemas del país. 3) Tratando lo concerniente a la celebración del Centenario del 5 de julio de 1811. Se finaliza analizando texto y contexto de nuevas construcciones historiográficas.
