It offers a proposal for moving beyond the fragmentation and atomization that afflicts international relations. It also argues that global governance offers an opportunity to return to these questions. |

Como actividad académica se han vuelto desatinadas y fragmentadas. Hemos dejado de buscar mayor claridad en la manera como entendemos el mundo a nuestro alrededor; más aún, hemos fallado como agentes del cambio, es decir, como provisores de opinión y propuestas para un orden mundial mejor y más justo. Así, ya no asistimos a estudiantes y a aquellos profesionales que buscan nuestro consejo. Se describe por qué y cómo las relaciones internacionales bordean el abismo. Se propone cómo superar la fragmentación: la vuelta al debate de las grandes cuestiones. Y se sostiene que la gobernanza global ofrece una oportunidad para volver a estas interrogantes.
