| description | In this article, I advance the formulation of a paradigm whose components have arisen inorganically in the sociological field in the Western Hemisphere since the beginning of the 21st century. This intellectual corpus, which I call the “World Paradigm” (WP), contains a scientific device structured on the basis of the dialectic between three principles: globalization, localization and historicization. The WP also has a critical and a political device, which, activated by the scientific device, would make it possible to recreate a dynamic designed to renew sociology’s commitment to social change. I present the central elements comprising the WP, distinguishing them from the levers supporting the already consolidated modern and postmodern paradigms. |

En el presente artículo avanzo en la formulación de un paradigma cuyos componentes vienen germinando de forma inorgánica en el hemisferio occidental en el campo sociológico desde principios del siglo XXI. Este nuevo corpus intelectual, que denomino “paradigma mundialista” (PM), es portador de un dispositivo científico estructurado a partir de la dialéctica entre tres principios: mundialización, localización e historización. A la vez, el PM cuenta con un dispositivo crítico y un dispositivo político que, activados a partir del dispositivo científico, posibilitaría la recreación de una dinámica orientada a renovar el compromiso de la sociología con el cambio social. Aquí presento los elementos centrales que componen el PM, y los distingo de los resortes que sustentan los paradigmas sociológicos moderno y posmoderno ya consolidados.
