También se reflexiona sobre la unidad temática y conceptual del libro, algunas preguntas que deja pendientes, y la sociología pública enarbolada por el autor. El argumento principal afirma que, a pesar de la diversidad de sus objetos de estudio, Estrada es consistente con la Antropología del Estado, y que responde exitosamente a los requerimientos públicos de la sociología.
