Résumé:Based on surveys conducted in two of the main destinations of return migrants moving from the United States to Mexico (Jalisco and Chihuahua, September 2018), this article explores how migration from the United States to Mexico is related with the interruption of the school trajectories and school dropout. The surveys drew data from representative samples of households in each state.  Before analyzing the main findings, the article presents a state of the art of contemporary research on this field, and identifies the contribution of the study conducted in Jalisco and Chihuahua to the current literature.
