| Sumario: | This article explores the explanatory force of the different family structures regarding the use of health services. We present the outcomes of the analysis about the acceptance or rejection of pre and post-natal attention offered to pregnant women or those who intended to get pregnat soon and belonged to a population group that resides in the Northeastern area of Mexico City. The basic assupmtion was that the nuclear family "works" in a different way in relation to the extended family on deciding whether or not using health services. |
