Resumo: | Latin American metropolises have experienced the emergence of new forms of appropriation of urban space. This space has witnessed the construction of intelligent buildings, closed urbanizations and residential elitization projects. Although these elements were studied to characterize large metropolises, little is known about intermediate cities. This study examines whether the characters developed to define the advance of gated communities in large metropolises can adapt to the analysis of an intermediate city such as Gran San Miguel de Tucumán (Argentina) Its supply of infrastructure and services makes this the most important city in the northeast of Argentina and it often functions as a regional capital. |
