El artículo explora en la escritura de Frantz Fanon las relaciones entre ontología y representación en el sujeto colonial y sus vínculos con el cuerpo. Nuestra hipótesis es que la ontología significa para Fanon una emboscada producida por el colonialismo (en un modo discursivo) con las herramientas de la representación. De tal manera, el cuerpo colonial es un cuerpo racializado, expulsado de la historia. En una segunda sección analizamos este conjunto de problemas desde la perspectiva de la ambivalencia y la mimesis para finalizar en un recorrido por los vínculos entre lenguaje e historia en la escritura fanoniana.
