| Resumo: | The “Arab Spring” was a social movement characterized by a series of popular uprisings and protests against the governing elite’s abuse and oppression. The movement swept through several countries in the Middle East and North Africa region. This article focuses specifically on Egypt and the ideological transformation in a particular sector of the population, the youth. The study aims to comprehend why the younger generations acted as they did and how this minority reached a more universal cosmovision that goes beyond religion and nationalism and formulates a new concept of the human being. |
