Description
Résumé:During 2024, the situation in Taiwan was characterized by a renewed economic growth, despite the challenges posed by a series of natural disasters. The January elections resulted in a divided government, with the executive and legislative branches controlled by different parties. This scenario led to increased political conflict and social mobilization. There was also a noticeable increase in cross-strait tensions and closer ties between Taiwan and the United States. Similarly, a higher level of internationalization of the conflict became manifest after military frigates and ships from other allies of Washington sailed through the Strait’s waters at different moments of the year.
